What’s Happening This Freshers’ Week?

If you want to see what we’re doing in Freshers’ Week, and especially if you think you might want to get involved, visit us at one of these events:

  • Live Broadcast from the Freshers’ Address
    Monday from 12:00 online at gust.tv/live
    If you didn’t get a seat in the Bute Hall or didn’t make it to Glasgow for the kick-off event of your Freshers’ Week tune in. This is not one to miss!
  • Freshers’ Fair
    Tuesday and Wednesday, 10am–5pm. The Bute Hall.
    Visit us among hundreds of student clubs, societies and unions at the magnificient Freshers’ Fair.
  • Showreel Screening
    Wednesday, 12pm. Andrew Stewart Theatre (opposite the Glasgow University Union, campus map E9).
    Get an idea of what GUST is usually up to and watch some of our best content on the big screen! We’ll be on hand to discuss how you can get involved.
  • Introduction to Student Media
    Thursday, 3pm. The Williams Room (upstairs in the John McIntyre Building).
    Listen to introductions from all student media bodies. Afterwards you should join us in our office with like-minded GUSTies-to-be for a chat and some more details on how you can get involved.

Our events are open to all University of Glasgow students. You don’t even have to show your Fresher’s Pass!

GUST Studio Tour

Interested in joining GUST? or just want an excuse to see our studio and take part in some bodge-style filmmaking session, then come along to our first official meeting of the term! We will meet at 5pm on Monday 17th at the GUST Office. If you don’t know where that is don’t panic! We’ll pick you up at the Memorial Gate on our way to the studio. Our studio is located in Southpark House (a 5 minute walk from the John McIntyre Building – Home of the SRC).

After studio we’ll be heading to the pub! Join us in the Grosvenor Cafe for some food, drinks and great chat!

GUST Glasgow Showcase

The best acts Glasgow University has to offer, coming together for one action-packed night!

Thursday 20th September
Glasgow University Union Debates Chamber
Doors 8pm

Hosted by Billy Kirkwood, we’ll be showcasing a variety of musical talent, including dancers, singers and some awesome bands.

Tickets: £3 in advance / £4 on the door
Available from GUST Members, at the GUST Freshers’ Fair stall and from the SRC Office.
With Free Hive Entry! to continue the night.
